About the gallery
A modern stage for Fiji's creative heritage.
The Gallery of Fijian Art & Design celebrates Fiji's rich creative spirit through contemporary works, traditional inspiration and artist-led storytelling. It serves as a platform for local artists and designers to share their practice, preserve cultural knowledge and invite visitors into the visual language of the islands.
Located in the heart of Nadi, the gallery welcomes collectors, art enthusiasts and travellers seeking a considered cultural encounter while visiting Jack's of Fiji.

Alice Hill
Glass artist, curator and founder of Hot Glass Fiji
Alice Hill is a glass artist and the founder of Hot Glass Fiji, the first and only glass-blowing studio in Fiji, based on the Coral Coast of Viti Levu.
Trained in the UK, she blends traditional techniques with contemporary design. Her work reflects Fiji's coral reefs, tropical rainforest, vibrant culture and ocean through fluid organic forms and rich tropical colour.
At Hot Glass Fiji, Alice leads a team of Fijian glassblowers, sharing her knowledge while collaborating with local artists to create unique experiences for visitors.
Alifereti Malai
Award-winning Fijian artist from Burelevu, Ra
From Burelevu in the highlands of Ra, Alifereti is an award-winning Fijian artist celebrated across the Pacific.
His practice was nurtured through Marist Brothers Primary, Ratu Kadavulevu School and the Oceania Centre for Arts & Culture at the University of the South Pacific. He has represented Fiji at Pacific festivals and exhibited in New Caledonia, New Zealand and Australia.
His honours include the National Fine Arts Award, Craftsman of the Year, Indigenous Art Award, Masquerade Body Art and an International Diploma in Art. In 2019, he was named Artist of the Year by the French Ambassador to Fiji.
Arvindra Sukul
Contemporary Indo-Fijian artist
Arvin Sukul is a contemporary Indo-Fijian artist whose self-taught journey began with curiosity and a passion for creative expression.
Blending Indian and Pacific influences, his work often features elongated, expressive faces that convey love, sorrow, humour and inspiration. His textured abstracts and vibrant fish art channel the voice of nature through colour, form and texture.
His earthy palette and dynamic brushstrokes have reached homes and galleries in Fiji, Australia and beyond, resonating with collectors, resorts and online art lovers.
Lynne McLaren
Savusavu-based artist working with concrete
In Savusavu on Vanua Levu, Lynne McLaren works with concrete, a medium known for strength, and coaxes out the gentleness of nature into flowing forms.
Inspired by the rainforest around her studio, her work bridges the raw and the refined, the functional and the decorative.
Each piece carries the textures and rhythms of Fiji's natural world, inviting viewers to see beauty not only in fragility, but also in resilience.
Maria Rova
Contemporary artist working with bark cloth, silk and mixed media
Maria is a celebrated contemporary artist known for vibrant paintings on traditional Fijian bark cloth and silk.
Living and working in Nadi for three decades, she draws from Fiji's natural environment, cultural life, landscapes, flora, fauna and vibrant lifestyles.
Her work blends the rhythmic patterns and earthy tones of ancient bark cloth with dynamic abstract forms. Her award-winning works are held in resorts, corporate spaces and private collections locally and internationally.
Mason J Lee
Fine artist, public artist and Red Wave collective member
Mason is a leading figure in Fiji's contemporary art scene, with a practice spanning fine arts, public art and diverse creative disciplines.
Chosen by the late Dr. Epeli Hau'ofa to join USP's Oceania Centre for Arts & Culture, he became a pioneering member of the Red Wave collective, exploring art rooted in Pacific identity.
Of Chinese and Fijian heritage, Mason combines meticulous realism with symbolic interpretations drawn from local culture and environment. His work has been exhibited across the UK, Germany, China, the USA, New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific.
Peter Lancaster
Master printmaker and founder of Fiji's first fine art lithography studio
Peter Lancaster is a master printmaker whose childhood in Suva profoundly shaped his artistic journey.
After returning to Melbourne as a teenager, he pursued printmaking and established Lancaster Press in 1990, a custom hand-printing studio specialising in fine art lithography.
In 2017 he returned to Fiji, founding the country's first Fine Art Lithography studio and gallery on the Coral Coast. His work draws on Fiji's landscapes, villages and tropical foliage and is represented in major national galleries and private collections worldwide.
Shane Bower
Savusavu-based metal and copper artist
Based in Savusavu, Shane Bower was born and raised in Suva. Known for his industrious nature and innovative vision, he is one of Fiji's most sought-after contemporary artists.
Working across large- and small-scale copper and metal pieces, his visual language captures movement and grace through studies of sea creatures in sculpture and two-dimensional compositions.
From monumental installations to decorative gates, his signature style blends durability, craftsmanship and artistic finesse while celebrating Fiji's people, landscapes and spirit.
Stanley Waradi
Sculptor and visual artist from Nadi
Stanley Joseph Waradi is a sculptor and visual artist from Nadi, Fiji.
He began with acrylic painting, exploring light, form and emotion on canvas before turning to sculpture to engage with volume, weight and space.
Working with materials such as metal, plastic and wood, Waradi values their ability to hold tension and energy. His tactile, instinctive process reflects an interest in the unspoken balance between stillness and movement, resistance and harmony.
